Foster's Group, Australia, chooses Mectec - again!

The beverage group Foster's is since the year 2000 a happy user of Mectec automatic pallet labellers in their breweries. The group includes, apart from breweries, also a large amount of great wine yards – like LIndemans, Penfolds and Robertson's – among many others. In a new project the group has decided to implement full scale automatic print and apply labelling also within these companies.

Together with our Australian partner, Insignia, we are very happy to have been selected to, initially, spring 2007, supply the first 10 (out of a total of about 25) fully automatic pallet labellers to these fine companies !

Today, Friday the 29 th of September – the owners of Mectec Elektronik AB have agreed to sell their shares to / signed acquisition contract with - Domino Printing PLC, Cambridge , England.

As Domino is a public company – this information has today been brought to the London Stock Exchange.

Prestigious order for 20 lines to News International,

The Rupert Murdoch News Empire – News Corporation, including The Times, The Sun etc (www.newscorp.com) - has shared printing facilities in the subsidiary company News International (www.newsinternational.co.uk ).

Mectec will equip all 20 production lines (three sites in UK) with Automatic A4 Pallet labelling. The system will be a break-through in automatic palletising and labelling within the News Printing Industry – and we are very proud and happy to participate and be the chosen supplier of all automated Print & Apply solutions !

We see a very strong development and continued growth in Eastern Europe. For have being quite “slow” for many years – orders are now coming in very frequent – and one of the latest ones, that we are very happy with, is to equip in total 14 packaging lines with box and pallet labelling within the Croatian Saponia Group.

Saponia put a lot of effort into selecting the best solution and supplier – and after a thorough evaluation – the choice was Mectec together with our local partner Primark in Zagreb. Together we very much look forward to meet all Saponia demands and expectations !

Total sales in the period of January-June 2005 was up 21% compared to last year.
Both Scandinavian and International Markets has developed very well – and we see, and look forward to, a continued growth also in the second half of 2005 !
